Carbon brush, also known as electric brush, is a sliding contact that is an important component of an electric motor and transmits energy or signals between the fixed and rotating parts of an electric motor, generator, or other rotating machinery. The carbon brush is made of electrochemical graphite, greased graphite, and metallic graphite.
Its main component is carbon, and its shape is generally square. As carbon brushes are prone to wear, they should be regularly maintained and replaced, and carbon deposits should be promptly cleaned.
